1. समय बताने के लिए यदि minutes अथवा hour के किसी अंश का भी प्रयोग किया जाना हो तो o’CLOCK का use नहीं किया जाता; जैसे 

INCORRECT: My class is at fifteen past four o’clock.
CORRECT: My class is at fifteen past four.

INCORRECT: They finished their dinner at about 7.30 o’clock.
CORRECT: They finished their dinner at about 7.30.

2. o’clock और a.m./p.m. का use एक साथ नहीं किया जाता; जैसे 

INCORRECT: You are to reach at the station by seven o’clock p.m.
CORRECT: You are to reach at the station by seven. OR You are to reach at the station by seven o’clock. OR You are to reach at the station by seven o’clock in the evening.

3. Decimal जैसे 4.00, 7.00, आदि के साथ o’CLOCK का use नहीं किया जाता,  o’CLOCK का use complete नंबर के साथ ही किया जाता है; जैसे 

INCORRECT: I start work at 9.00 o’clock.
CORRECT: I start work at 9 o’clock.

1. We do not use o’CLOCK for times that include minutes or parts of an hour; e.g.

INCORRECT: My class is at fifteen past four o’clock.
CORRECT: My class is at fifteen past four.

INCORRECT: They finished their dinner at about 7.30 o’clock.
CORRECT: They finished their dinner at about 7.30.

2. Use EITHER o’clock OR a.m./p.m. (NOT both)

INCORRECT: You are to reach at the station by seven o’clock p.m.
CORRECT: You are to reach at the station by seven. OR You are to reach at the station by seven o’clock. OR You are to reach at the station by seven o’clock in the evening.

3. We do not use o’CLOCK after number with a decimal like 4.00, 7.00, etc., if you have to use o’CLOCK use it after complete number; e.g.

INCORRECT: I start work at 9.00 o’clock.
CORRECT: I start work at 9 o’clock.
