NOTE-I: Applications must be submitted only online.

NOTE-II: Copies of supporting documents will be sought only from those candidates who qualify in the exam, means they are not tot be submitted with the application.

NOTE-III: Only one online application is allowed to be submitted by a candidate for the Examination. In case, more than one applications of a candidate are detected, the Commission will consider latest application. If a candidate submits multiple applications and appears in the examination (at any stage) more than once, his/ her candidature will be cancelled and he/ she will be debarred from the examinations of the Commission as per rules.

 

OBC

A person seeking appointment on the basis of reservation to OBCs must ensure that he/ she possesses the caste/ community certificate and does not fall in creamy layer on the crucial date. The crucial date for this purpose will be the closing date for receipt of online application i.e. 21.03.2021.

 

MTS EXAM-19

This is a Grade-C job which earlier had posts Peon, Daftary, Jamadar, Junior Gestetner Operator, Farash, Chowkidar, Mali etc in the Pay Band (I) 5,200-20,200 associated with Grade Pay of Rs 1,800 (Pay Matrix Level 1 in 7th CPC).

AGE LIMIT

(as on 01.01.2021)

The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:

a) 18-25 years as on 01.01.2021 (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2003)

b) 18-27 years as on 01.01.2021 (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-2003)

NOTE: As the vacancies for MTS are in two age groups i.e. (i) 18 to 25 years and (ii) 18 to 27 years, in the final result, there will be separate age group-wise, State/ UT-wise and category-wise cut-offs. For the candidates who are eligible for both the age-groups, vacancies will first be filled in the age-group of 18-25 years.

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 01.01.2021)

  • Must have passed 10th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board.

NOTE-I: Candidates who have not acquired but will acquire the educational qualification and acquire documentary evidence from the Board/University in support thereof as on 01.01.2021 will also be eligible.

NOTE-II: Candidates possessing equivalent educational qualification shall also produce relevant Equivalence Certificate from the concerned authorities at the time of Document Verification. However, final decision regarding selection of such candidates will be taken by the concerned User Departments/ Appointing Authorities.

 

SCHEME OF EXAM

The examination will consist of Paper-I (online exam) and Paper-II (descriptive type) as shown below.

PAPER-I (100 marks) for 90 minutes

Reasoning 25 questions — 25 marks
Maths 25 questions — 25 marks
English 25 questions — 25 marks
GK 25 questions — 25 marks

NOTE-I: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

NOTE-II:  Marks scored by candidates in Paper-I will be normalized and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.

NOTE-II: Duration will be 120 Minutes for candidates eligible for scribes

PAPER-II (50 marks) for 30 minutes
Short Essay/Letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution.

NOTE-I: Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills in view of categorization of the post as Group-C and in view of job requirements. Qualifying marks in Paper-II will be 40% for unreserved category and 35% for all reserved category candidates.

NOTE-II: Paper-II will be held only for those candidates who meet the cut-off prescribed by the Commission in Paper-I for different categories.

NOTE-III: The Paper will be set in Hindi, English and in other languages mentioned in the VIII Schedule of the Constitution as given in Annexure-XIV, to test basic language skills commensurate with the educational qualification prescribed for the post. Candidates will be required to write one short essay/ letter.
