SSC CGL Previous Year Question Paper: Staff Selection Commission every year conducts SSC CGL Exam to give opportunities to graduates to find Government Jobs. SSC CGL New Exam Scheme

The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two tiers as indicated below:

a) Tier-I
b) Tier-II

A) Scheme of Tier-I exam

NOTE-I: Tier-I will be of qualifying nature, means marks scored in it won’t be added while preparing the Final Result.
NOTE-I: Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions.
NOTE-II: There will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer

NOTE-I: Tier-II will include conducting of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III in separate shift(s)/ day(s).

NOTE-II: Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts.

NOTE-III: Paper-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)

NOTE-IV: Paper-III will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.

NOTE-V: Paper-I will be conducted in two sessions – Session-I & Session-II, on same day.

NOTE-VI: It will be mandatory for the candidates to qualify all the sections of Paper-I. 

NOTE-VII: Merit list will be prepared on the basis of overall performance of candidates in Tier-II Examination only.

NOTE-VIII: There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II and Section-III of Paper-I; and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-III.

NOTE-IX: Based on the aggregate performance in Section-I and Section-II of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination, candidates will be shortlisted for evaluation of Section-III (Computer Knowledge) of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination. The candidates who are not qualified in Section-I + Section-II will not be eligible for evaluation of Section-III and they will not be considered for further selection process.

NOTE-X: Section-III of Paper-I of Tier-II is qualifying in nature, in other words both modules i.e. Computer Knowledge Test and DEST are qualifying in nature. However, in Module-I (Computer Knowledge), a separate higher cut-off, as decided by the Commission, will be fixed for the posts where Computer Proficiency is prescribed in comparison to other posts. Similarly, in Module-II i.e. DEST, a separate higher standard/ cut-off, as decided by the Commission, will be fixed for the posts where either Computer Proficiency or DEST is prescribed in comparison to other posts.

NOTE-XI: Section-III of Paper-I i.e. Computer Knowledge Test is mandatory but qualifying in nature. However, while shortlisting the candidates for the following posts where Computer Proficiency is prescribed higher qualifying standards will be set in comparison to other posts:

i) Assistant Section Officer in CSS
ii) Assistant Section Officer in MEA
iii) Assistant Section Officer in AFHQ
iv) Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO)
v) Assistant in the Ministry of Mines
vi) Assistant in Indian Meteorological Department
vii) Inspector (CGST & Central Excise)
viii) Preventive Officer
ix) Examiner
x) Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant

NOTE-XII: Minimum qualifying marks in Tier-I, each Paper of Tier-II and Tier-III Examination are as follows:

1. UR 30%
2. OBC/EWS 25%
3. All other categories 20%

NOTE-XIII: Maximum percentage of errors allowed (i.e. minimum qualifying standards) for Section-III of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination i.e. DEST) are as
follows::

1. UR 20%
2. OBC/EWS 25%
3. All other categories 30%
