Skill Test for CGL-20 on 04.08.22 & 05.08.22 (guidelines also)
Skill Test for the eligible candidates of CGLE 2020 will be conducted on 04.08.2022 and 05.08.2022 across the country. This Skill Test comprises of three modules, namely (i) Data Entry Speed Test(DEST), (ii) Power Point Presentation/Generation of Slides (MS Power Point), and (iii) Spread Sheet (MS Excel).
1. Data Entry Speed Test (DEST)
a) For Data Entry Speed Test (DEST), a master text passage of about 2000 (two thousand) key depressions will be given. Duration of this test will be 15 minutes.
b) Candidates are advised to type only the words given in the master text passage.
c) Combination of alphanumeric keys followed by space is termed as one ‘Word’.
d) Candidates may note:
i) The print out of the typed text will not be taken after the Skill Test (Typing Test/DEST.)
ii) Candidates for English Typing Test/DEST are advised to choose English (US) as their option.
iii) A demo video for the said Typing Test/DEST has been uploaded on the website of the Commission in the CANDIDATES CORNER for the benefit of the candidates.
2. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) comprises of additional two modules viz.
i) Power Point Presentation/Generation of slides (MS Power Point)
ii) Spread Sheet (MS Excel) will be administered on MS Office platform (Microsoft Office-2007 and higher versions) and duration of each module will be 15 minutes.
NOTE-I: These modules will be conducted one after the other.
NOTE-II: After completion of both the modules (MS Power Point & MS Excel), printout of the candidate’s work will be taken.
NOTE-III: The candidates will have to give the print command and after getting printouts for Power Point presentation and Spread Sheet, they will also write their Roll Number, Name, Exam Date and put their signature on each page.
NOTE-IV: Candidates are advised to familiarize themselves with Microsoft Office
– 2007 and above.
