SSC CHSL (10+2) Exam BOOKS
SSC CHSL Exam BOOKS
The following books and study material are mainly concerned with the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level (CHSL) Exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), and any other exams having the same syllabus and same pattern.
There are 4 subjects in the objective paper of the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level (CHSL) Exam, they are GK, Reasoning, English & Maths. In any exam quality books/study material matters much. In my opinion the following books/study material should be right:
GK
1. GK of Lucent or any quality book on GK for the CHSL as you can find LUCENT’s book a little heavy for this.
2. NCERT books for Science from 6th to 10th (if time is available)
3. Monthly Magazine ‘Pratiyogita Darpan
4. Any good quality newspaper like ‘The Hindu’

REASONING
1. SSC previous years papers and Kiran’s practice work-book should be enough.

MATHS
1. Quick Arithmetic of Ashish Aggarwal (Now it has Geometry & Trigonometry both included); of course the best book for CHSL Exam
2. Class IX & X books of NCERT/R D Sharma for geometry and trigonometry (especially to clear the basics/roots as well to practise some questions)
But never forget to practise previous papers & model papers to master it all.
SSC CGLE/CPO/CHSL: IMPORTANT PROPERTIES/CONCEPTS OF GEOMETRY
Geometry is extremely important in SSC or other exams today. I have seen people good in Maths as a whole but not so good in Geometry. Hence I have compiled some important properties/concepts which are integral part of Geometry. If one understands and memorizes them well, I’m sure he will definitely do very good in it. Highly advisable it is that friends take the print-out of the matter and keep it along while practising questions on Geometry.
