SSC STENOGRAPHER EXAM—-Method of Evaluation of Stenography Scripts

QUERY: In what manner the errors in stenography skill test of the Stenographers Exam of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) are counted?

REPLY: Here is the manner in which errors in the stenography skill test of the Stenographers Exam of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) are counted. Aspirants are advised to take note of it while practising steno otherwise the things could be very disastrous. Doing practice of steno keeping in mind the following things is highly advisable.

NOTE: The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English/Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade-C and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade -D. The matter will have to be transcribed (typed back) on computer only. The transcription time is as follows:

1. For Stenographer Grade -D : 50 minutes ( English )
65 minutes ( Hindi )

2. For Stenographer Grade -C: 40 minutes ( English )
55 Minutes ( Hindi )
