Comparison between TA & Auditor

In the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam the post of Tax Assistant (TA) is better than the post of Auditor in my view. The reason for this is very simple. For the post of Auditor, one has to pass the SAS exam to be directly promoted to the post of AAO within a certain number of years which is said to be among toughest of things.

If you are confident about this exam Auditor could be better then as you are a gazetted officer after 3-4 years. But if you are not that confident TA should be better as promotions in this post, especially in the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), are faster. However, TA in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC / CBEC) is on the lower side of the two because of extremely slow promotions.

NOTE: Though the post of Auditor is in the Grade Pay 2,800 and the post of Tax Assistant in 2,400, this difference is minor really. But the next promotion in both these post is in the same Grade Post i.e. 4,200. I hope this will help you understand my idea better.

TA और AUDITOR में से कौन से post बेहतर है?

हमारे विचार में Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam की Tax Assistant (TA) की post Auditor की post से सामान्य रूप से बेहतर है. इसका एक कारण है. Auditor की post से AAO की post पर प्रत्यक्ष रूप पदोन्नति के लिए हर किसी को SAS exam में कुछ निश्चित वर्षों में उत्तीर्ण होना पड़ता है; और ये काम कोई आसान काम नहीं है.

यदि आप इस exam में उत्तीर्ण होने को लेकर पूर्ण रूप से आश्वस्त हैं तो फिर Auditor की post अच्छी है क्योंकि फिर आप मात्र 3-4 वर्षों में ही एक राजपत्रित अधिकारी (gazetted officer) बन जाते हैं. परन्तु, यदि आप इस exam को उत्तीर्ण करने के मामले में उतने आश्वस्त नहीं हैं तो TA की post बेहतर है क्योंकि इस post पर पदोन्नति के अवसर निश्चित रूप से बढ़िया हैं खासतौर पर Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) में. हालांकि TA (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC / CBEC) में पदोन्नति की रफ़्तार कुछ ज्यादा ही धीमी है.
