EXAMINATION SCHEMES (DSSSB)
COMMON POINTS TO REMEMBER FOR ALL THE EXAM SCHEMES GIVEN BELOW
1. Negative Marking will be applicable and deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each wrong MCQ answer.
2. The Board reserves its right to prescribe a minimum cut off mark for any post as per availability of candidates.
3. Candidates numbering 6 to 10 times of vacancies will be called for Tier – II examination subject to number of vacancies / applicants.
4. Skill test / Endurance test will be taken as per requirement of job.
5. In Two Tier examinations, Tier I exam to be used for short listing only. Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in Tier II Examination.
6. Minimum qualifying marks in one Tier and two tier written examinations (Objective/Descriptive type) for different categories are as under:
a) UR/General: 40%
b) OBC: 35%
c) SC/ST/PH: 30%
d) Ex-servicemen will be given 5% relaxation in their respective categories subject to a minimum of 30%

NOTE: Further, the candidate must have to qualify in section A & B separately as per their category (UR, OBC, SC, ST, ExM, PH) minimum qualifying marks. However final merit will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks of both the sections A & B.
7. PGT EXAM SCHEME
The post of PGT has been changed/amended from Two Tier (Tech. posts-2) to One Tier (Tech.). The selection shall be made through an examination based on MCQs paper of 3 hour duration, comprising of two sections, as mentioned be low:

NOTE-I: An optional Exit Examination of qualifying nature , if Board so decides, may be conducted for short!isted candidates of Tier-II exam for testing minimum standards in writing skills by means of an essay or expansion of ideas.
NOTE-II: Tier-I is qualifying.
NOTE-III: Final selection shall be made based on merit in Tier-II exam.
